Business and contact
SCOUTT LEADS, ABN 95 221 822 602, operates Scoutt. Contact support@scoutt.work for privacy requests or complaints.
Information we collect
From account users, we collect email addresses, account and authentication information, terms acknowledgements, subscription and payment references, saved filing IDs, account preferences about finding work or hiring service providers, filter preferences, research-seen timestamps, business service requests, responses and support correspondence. A trade selection can be held temporarily in your browser to carry it into the research dashboard. Hosting and authentication services process technical information such as IP addresses, browser details and security events. Essential cookies support sign-in.
Research collected from public filings, documents, datasets and business websites can include professional names, roles, business contact details, project addresses and source evidence. This policy also applies to people whose professional details appear in that research.
Use and sharing
We use information to provide and secure accounts, maintain historical payment records, respond to requests and produce project research. Verified account users receive professional contact and project information in the research feed, free during beta. Approved business request details (title, company, category, service area, budget, timing and description) are public. The poster’s account email is not public. When an account user chooses to respond, their name, company, message and account email are shared with that request’s poster in Scoutt. We retain submission and response records to operate and moderate the service. Contact support for correction or deletion requests.
Hosting, authentication, payment, email and AI research providers process information needed for their services. We may also disclose information where required by law.
Optional advertising measurement
If you choose “Allow measurement”, Google Ads processes page visits, ad-click identifiers and technical information such as IP address and browser details to measure our advertising. For historical paid subscriptions, after a verified initial subscription payment, we also send its paid amount, currency and a transaction reference that does not contain your name or email. Your browser can remember that reference to avoid reporting it repeatedly. Google may store advertising-measurement cookies. The tag does not load before you agree; advertising personalisation is disabled. We do not configure enhanced conversions or send your account email, payment card details or researched business contacts to Google.
Choose “Decline” to use Scoutt without this measurement. You can change your choice through “Privacy choices” on any page. We store your choice in your browser and respect Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track signals. Google processes information internationally under its privacy policy at https://policies.google.com/privacy.
Storage and security
Information is held in protected cloud services and operational research records. We use encrypted connections and access controls. Records are retained as needed for the service and applicable legal obligations; information no longer needed is subject to deletion or de-identification where required.
Overseas recipients
Account storage and support email are hosted in the United States. Hosting, payment and research providers also operate internationally. Their published processing and support locations include Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Germany, France, Portugal, the Netherlands, Sweden, Switzerland, Singapore, Japan, India, South Korea, Malaysia, the Philippines, Colombia, Mexico and the United Arab Emirates. The locations used depend on the service and request.
Access and correction
Email support@scoutt.work to request access to or correction of your personal information. For a research entry, identify the relevant project or source where possible. You do not need a paid account to make a request.
We may reasonably verify your identity or authority and will explain any lawful reason we cannot comply. Deletion or removal requests are assessed under applicable law; they do not automatically cancel billing or remove information from the original public source.
Complaints
Email support@scoutt.work describing your privacy concern. We will investigate and respond within a reasonable period. If unresolved, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner where its jurisdiction applies, or another relevant privacy authority.
